Documentation
This page explains BuildLoop fundamentals. Coverage is still concise and will grow as the product matures.
Build Contract
The Build Contract is written before coding starts and includes Goal, In Scope, Out of Scope, Protected Areas, Acceptance Criteria, and Required Checks.
Approved contracts are read-only. Scope changes create a new version that must go through approval again.
Commit-bound evidence
Every finding on the Check Report is tied to one commit SHA. If the commit changes, earlier check results are marked STALE and must be rerun.
Status
- PASS — the rule has passing evidence.
- BLOCKED — a hard rule failed and Close is disabled.
- NEEDS HUMAN REVIEW — the outcome cannot be confirmed automatically.
- STALE — the commit changed since the check was created.
Human decisions
After the Check Report is available, humans choose Revise (focused fix from failure evidence), Escalate (needs further human judgment), or Close.
Current version limits
This public page is not connected to any repository, has no account, and does not run checks. All visual examples are labeled as illustrative.
